In the turbulent years of the Republic of China, Chen Yu, an ordinary young man from a humble background, is unexpectedly swept into a thrilling expedition. He is an antiques dealer in a small town, with an innate sensitivity to and love of ancient artifacts. By chance, however, he discovers an ancient treasure map marking the location of a legendary tomb.
The tomb is said to be the final resting place of a powerful general from a previous dynasty, and to hold countless treasures and secrets. But its mysteries also attract the greed of tomb raiders and warlords from all sides. Realizing that he must get ahead of them if he is to uncover the tomb's secrets, Chen Yu sets about assembling a team: a nimble thief, a scholar well-versed in traps, and a doctor with exceptional medical skills.
They must cross battlefields torn apart by war, evade the warlords pursuing them, unravel the tomb's layers of mechanisms, race against time, and repeatedly come close to death. Along the way, Chen Yu must face not only dangers from the outside, but also suspicion and betrayal within his own team. His intelligence and courage will be tested like never before.
As the expedition goes deeper, Chen Yu gradually discovers that the tomb holds more than gold, silver, and jewels. It conceals a secret that could overturn the history of the Republic of China. What will he choose to do: reveal the secret to the world, or bury it forever beneath the dust of history?
