The Angel's Banner

(Vast worldbuilding + multiple storylines + ensemble cast + not a mindless power fantasy + no saintly heroine + entirely original) Until that day, when the Demon Race descended with a thunderous roar. The 124 pillars it brought stained the world. Monsters and demons hid in the darkness, dragging all of civilization into the abyss, bit by bit... This was the most wretched of times. Disaster ravaged the world, and human lives were as insignificant as dust. Humanity obeyed the angels’ rules, humbly begging for their protection. This was also the most magnificent of times. Supernatural abilities shone like countless stars, and all manner of gifted people emerged. Even angels could become demons, and mortals could exploit the rules. That day, the world went dark, and the stars fell. “Mom, look at all those shooting stars! Quick, let’s make a wish!” “Child, those aren’t shooting stars.” They were the entanglement of angels and demons. They were the unending pulse of a shattered civilization.
