In her previous life, the apocalypse arrived, and humanity endured torrential rain, bitter winters, and scorching summers on land. After ten grueling months of survival, with an uninhabitable disaster on the way, people began entering underwater shelters under the government’s direction to escape the calamity.

Zhou Nuo died in the third year of the apocalypse, just as the underwater shelters began regularly surfacing and submerging. She died before dawn, before humanity’s fortunes could turn, ignored by everyone around her.

Reborn, Zhou Nuo unexpectedly bound herself to a pocket dimension housed in a pink pearl in her home. It contained fields and ponds for growing crops, as well as a stasis space where she could store supplies. She also discovered a large sum of money left by her late parents, enough to stock up on everything she needed. Given a second life, Zhou Nuo vowed to stockpile supplies properly and follow the government’s lead, living a happy, low-key life to the end.

After that, Zhou Nuo started stocking up: chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, cows, and sheep, buy, buy, buy; vegetables, fruit, and grain, buy, buy, buy; snacks and drinks, buy, buy, buy.

So while others went hungry in the apocalypse, Zhou Nuo ate hot pot by her fireplace. While others suffered in the sweltering heat, Zhou Nuo ate ice cream in front of a fan. While others were tearing their hair out over next month’s rent for the underwater shelter, Zhou Nuo was already piloting a small personal submersible to visit a “giant aquarium.” While others worked four jobs a day in the shelter, Zhou Nuo stayed home cooking dishes, braising meat, and making wontons and dumplings.
