Death Is Your Lie

(Death Loop + Dark Tone + Ruthless Protagonist + A Touch of Comedy)

If I become a Buddha, the world will be free of demons. If I become a demon, what can the Buddha do to me? If I become an immortal, my heart will wander among mortals. If I become a monster, I will protect you in the land of the living.

If I become a ghost, I will guard you in the netherworld. If I become human, I will love you for ten thousand years.

But alas, I am none of these things. The mortal world may be fine, but I don't want to return in another life.

For in this life, I became a solitary god, doomed to wander forever in the cycle of mortal existence.

The silkworm spins its silk until its death; in the end, all things come to nothing.
