On Our Engagement Day, My Fiancée and Her Assistant Sent Me Their Marriage Certificate

On the day we were supposed to get engaged, I received a marriage certificate belonging to my fiancée and her young assistant.

I looked at the two people in the photo and calmly broke up with Zhang Ying.

Zhang Ying's assistant called me, choking back tears, and begged me to forgive him. “Brother Zhang Fan, it's all my fault. I sent the photo to the wrong person. Please don't fight with Sister Ying, okay?”

On the other end of the call, Zhang Ying put her arms around him and comforted him. “It's okay. He won't get mad. We've been together for eight years. He can't bear to leave me.”

I didn't answer. I simply hung up, left my engagement ring behind, and walked away.
