Synopsis

Xu Ye transmigrates into the underworld of the Journey to the West, where he becomes a lowly ghost soldier.

He thinks he’s doomed to toil away until the Great Sage wreaks havoc in the underworld and sweeps him to his death with a single blow...

Luckily, he awakens the Trait Plundering System ahead of time!

Yang Jian: Child of Fortune (Rainbow), Destined to Face a Calamity (Gold), Divine Body (Red)...

Tongtian: Tongtian (Azure), Sword (Azure), Leader of a Great Sect (Rainbow)...

Hongjun: Heavenly Dao (Azure), Born of Chaos (Azure), Wielder of Fate (Azure)...

Not long afterward, Sun Wukong is born. The Buddhist sect schemes to seize the underworld’s fortune through the monkey.

But who could have guessed that Xu Ye would personally go to capture souls? As the Lord of the Underworld, he turns around and suppresses Sun Wukong on the spot!

The gods and Buddhas stare in disbelief: “This isn’t how the story’s supposed to go!”
