The protagonist, Ling Yixuan, is an ordinary player of Sanguosha. After Da Bao's Army Sweeps All Before It killed him, he was so furious that he passed out. When he woke up, he had arrived in a world where everyone played Sanguosha.
Here, everyone hopes to awaken as a card master and obtain powerful generals, because the generals in the game are the foundation of one's standing in this world.
While most people are still playing with standard generals, Ling Yixuan is already using the Underworld General System to play with underworld generals.
Ling Yixuan ventures into secret realms, slays strange beasts, and defends cities. His enemies tremble at his name, and he becomes the greatest Sanguosha player of all.
“Armored and silent, we raid the camp as if no one were there!”
“What kind of general is this? Why have all my cards disappeared?”
“Though I am old, my arrows are still sharp!”
“What’s going on? How did that one attack cost me four health?”
“Our army is unstoppable. The six commanderies of Jiangdong are ours for the taking!”
“How does this guy manage to play Indulgence every single turn? How are we supposed to play against that?”
Hahahahaha! Tremble before the might of the underworld generals!
