In the deep mountains and old forests of the Northeast, there is a legend of the "Five Fairies of the Northeast". They are the Fox Fairy, the Yellow Fairy, the White Fairy, the Willow Fairy, and the Gray Fairy, which respectively correspond to the five animals: fox, weasel, hedgehog, snake and mouse. These animals became spirits through cultivation, and were endowed with mysterious abilities and status by people, becoming the guardians of the mountains and forests.
