Four Years Wasted, Then I Saw the Truth and Let Go

On the eve of our wedding, I saw my girlfriend, who was supposed to be mentally disabled,

splurging on luxury gifts for male models at the mall.

In the crowd, I heard her scornful voice:

"That poor loser? I was just playing with him. I'll run away on our wedding day."

"If I hadn't pretended to be stupid, he never would've stood a chance with me."

I'd given her my whole heart for four years, only to find out it had all been a lie.

A chill ran through me, and I turned to leave.
