[Tyrannical, possessive Demon Lord vs. gentle, beautiful, pitiful young man]
Blood was taken from him, flesh cut from his body, bones stripped bare. Even the demon core his mother had given him was stolen. But perhaps that was for the best. Maybe dying would set him free and let him forget that person.
The war between demons and monsters ended in the monsters’ defeat. To win the Demon Lord’s favor, the Monster King forced the usually benevolent Wangyou Clan to hand over their young lord to marry him.
For the sake of his people, Xue Qiong willingly married the Demon Lord, who was rumored to be a bloodthirsty killer.
He never imagined, though, that the Demon Lord was the very person he had longed for day and night.
But before he could even rejoice, the Demon Lord’s next words dragged him straight into hell.
“You’d better behave. Then perhaps I’ll spare your life. Cang Lang, draw his blood.”
Blood streamed into a white porcelain bowl. Looking at the wound on his wrist, deep enough to expose bone, Xue Qiong asked softly, “Why?”
“Of course, it’s for someone important to me. I married you only to use your blood to keep him alive.”
“Since you’re so eager to seduce me, I’ll give you what you want.”
“Qing Yao’s illness is acting up. He needs a piece of your flesh...”
“Qing Yao can’t hold on much longer. He needs the blood from your heart. Endure it. He once saved my life. I can’t let him down...”
In the end, Xue Qiong really did die.
Yujin was consumed by grief. He sought out forbidden arts and endured the tempering of heavenly lightning, stripping away his own bones and flesh, all to save the young man who had long since been etched into his very being.
But could things truly ever go back to the way they were?
Reader’s Guide
1. Angsty melodrama, with a regretful pursuit of the ex
2. Both leads are each other’s only partners; happy ending
I don't quite understand. Is Xue Qiong the male? He is always named [][][] in the article.
The alternative demon love is very imaginative, but the sadomasochistic love that lasts for several lifetimes is also the last song.
It's okay. The writing is not bad either.
It's good to read, but the side story isn't finished yet. I'm looking forward to Long Yuan's new book.
Good-looking, good-looking, good-looking
