The Brooding Prince Is Too Rough, but the Princess Consort Has a Secret Identity

[Both leads are pure-hearted + a touch of fantasy + sinister Ninth Imperial Uncle + laid-back daughter of the prime minister + possessive love + one-on-one romance]

Zhong Xiwu, an immortal of ages past, is ambushed by the Demon Lord while undergoing her tribulation. Her primordial spirit is scattered, leaving only a wisp of her shattered soul to descend into the mortal realm. By chance, it takes over the body of the neglected eldest daughter of the prime minister, who shares her name in the Eastern Xia Kingdom.

An imperial decree forces her to marry the notorious Ninth Imperial Uncle of Eastern Xia, a ruthless killer…

She plans to live a carefree life on the dowry from the prime minister’s residence, but the regent is far too much trouble.

Today, he hangs his own nephew upside down and beats him.

Tomorrow, he burns down the imperial study of his elder brother, the emperor.

The day after that, a princess from an enemy kingdom takes a fancy to him and wants to make him king!

…

Watching all this unfold, Zhong Xiwu can’t sit still. If things keep going like this, she’s sure to lose her life.

She packs her things and prepares to run, only to be told she’s gone to pray devoutly for the regent’s well-being.

…

She has to deal with her husband, is forced into a household battle with her half-sister, and must endure a princess’s inexplicable fury.

Zhong Xiwu has had enough!

Fine, you want to make trouble? Then I’ll drop my secret identity. Prepare to face the judgment of an immortal…

And yet, time and again, Zhong Xiwu ends up saving one life after another.

At last, the tyrannical prince wraps an arm around the young woman’s waist and smiles wickedly.

“My princess, where do you think you’re running?”

…

“Pah! You rotten man! You think you can kiss these immortal lips of mine?”

“You scoundrel! How dare you pull at my clothes…”
