After Being Forced to Wed the Immortal Venerable, the Good-for-Nothing Just Wants to Escape

Xu Jingzhi, a good-for-nothing with no spiritual root, is betrayed by his husband. On the day his husband takes a concubine, Xu Jingzhi angrily divorces him and runs away, only to be rescued along the way by the white-robed immortal, Li Yan.

When he wakes, he discovers that the ethereal immortal is actually a thousand-year-old lecher. At the words, "I have no way to repay you for saving my life," Li Yan demands that he "offer himself in return." Xu Jingzhi hears this and wants nothing more than to escape.

He tries to run again and again, but can't break free of this cage. Instead, he loses his heart along the way. Then he discovers that the immortal still has someone else in his heart, a long-lost first love.

With phoenix blood in his veins, Xu Jingzhi becomes the most coveted person in all three realms. After a great battle, the immortal, the Demon Lord, and the Fox Demon Second Prince are all gravely injured.

The immortal, in seclusion, splits off a clone and goes to Xu Jingzhi. He pushes Xu Jingzhi down into a pool of blood, presses his thin lips to the corner of his mouth, and speaks in a hoarse, magnetic voice, like a bewitching spell: "I'll help you forget him."

The Demon Lord, recuperating in the demon realm, also splits off a clone and enters the immortal sect. His large hand clamps around Xu Jingzhi's snowy-white neck as he smiles darkly. "If you can't become the queen of the demon realm, you'll become a corpse."

One-on-one, both pure (with clones), mostly sweet with some angst, and no substitute romance.

There is a side couple, and they may not be pure.
