Sanhe Town

Slow-paced, tightly reasoned, with an entirely sensible cast.

I tried writing a synopsis, but then deleted it.

It’s like a frog suddenly leaping out of the water. You could explain why it jumped out and what it was trying to accomplish, just as dissecting a frog would reveal its motives.

But the frog would be dead, too.

That’s what storytelling is like.

This is a story about a group of people searching for themselves.

This isn’t written on the usual web-novel update schedule. I’ve already planned the outline, but chapter lengths won’t be consistent. I probably won’t get stuck, but updates will be slow because I’m not very clever.

But it wasn’t until I finished the outline that I realized I couldn’t define either love or the self. So all I can do is approach them indirectly and let readers decide. After all, there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand readers’ eyes. My own limited perspective isn’t enough to support this story. Let me say it again: the characters always have their own thoughts. I can’t sum them up with stereotyped labels. You’ll have to think it through for yourself, and don’t put too much faith in the characters’ own casual remarks.
