[One-on-one angst + ABO + marriage before love + regretful pursuit + wealthy domineering CEO]
[Gentle CEO who turns brooding and cruel x kind, considerate bride brought in to bring good luck]
Yan Sheng loved Li Xing. He was the moon shining in Yan Sheng’s heart. But one day, that moon fell from the sky.
Heartbroken, feeling as if his whole world were about to collapse, Yan Sheng was reborn and married Li Xing in a marriage meant to bring him good luck.
On their wedding night, Li Xing humiliated him mercilessly. Yan Sheng realized that Li Xing was nothing like the courteous gentleman he had imagined. He was suspicious, brooding, volatile, and obsessive.
A carefully plotted car accident left Li Xing paralyzed from the waist down. He lost his position as heir, was dumped by his fiancé, and was forced to accept an ordinary Omega like Yan Sheng as his spouse.
He fell from the clouds into the abyss overnight. With no reason to keep up the perfect facade, he simply tore off his disguise and showed his true colors.
But neither of them expected that this ridiculous marriage, arranged to bring good luck, would gradually take on a different meaning through Yan Sheng’s tenderness, companionship, and love.
But by then, it was too late.
Yan Sheng had forgotten that he and Li Xing had always belonged to different worlds. Even with Li Xing’s disability, an unfathomable gulf still separated them.
Yan Sheng took the initiative and asked for a divorce. But the husband who had been cold to him, humiliated him, ignored his advances, and treated him by turns warmly and coldly now claimed to love him and be unable to live without him?
Yan Sheng was tired. All he wanted was to get away from Li Xing.
He told Li Xing, “What’s done is done. A broken mirror can never be made whole again.”
Li Xing, the worst mistake I ever made was dreaming that you might love me.
Li Xing, please, do me a favor and let me go.
Li Xing, I’m tired. I don’t love you anymore. Let’s go our separate ways.
Note: 1. ABO, with some original worldbuilding. 2. A familiar trope, with both sweet and bitter moments. 3. The love interest uses a wheelchair at first, but can walk after surgery. 4. The love interest really doesn’t know how to communicate, and he really is a jerk.
This book is so beautiful. The little angel Yan Sheng slowly warms up the male protagonist with love. The two go through twists and turns in getting along, with misunderstandings and quarrels, but they never leave. Marriage first, love later is really hard~
