Chronicles of Blood and Storm in Xiangling

The Bloody Winds of Xiangling is a novel combining martial arts with Western mystery and fantasy. It tells the story of Song Qingyun, a wandering knight from the Xiang-Qian region who lives in a small town beside the Xiang River. During a contest to choose a husband, he accidentally falls into the water and stumbles into the hidden paradise of Guanzhuling. There, he meets the beautiful Yang Shiru, and the two fall in love. When martial arts sects discover that Guanzhuling holds a peerless martial arts manual, people go to great lengths to sneak into the tomb and steal it. To protect the manual, Qingyun ends up in the Xiang-Qian region, where he displays a knight’s courage, intelligence, and composure. The story’s exact time period is unknown, and its themes center on the feuds of the martial world, love and hatred, and the good and evil within human nature.
