Beast City: Dream of Mountains and Seas

All I can say is that it's pretty good. The story is very good, but there is a loophole in the Dragon Gate exam. I originally thought that no one could disturb it, but outsiders can contact the candidates. In this case, the Dragon Kings should be able to do more: Since we can contact each other, why do we allow candidates to eat people? It's not because I think from a human perspective that the dragon kings should stop candidates from eating people. But it is mentioned in the book that the orcs of the Flower Kingdom are actually not much different from humans. They have animal characteristics but only a few. Not to mention that the rapid growth of cannibalism makes it easy to become addicted, and the chance of attacking orcs is very high (because they are too similar, and there are no humans in their world). With their method of cultivating totems (eating intelligent creatures), even if they turn into dragons, they will still be evil dragons that eat intelligent creatures, right? If you want to continue to progress, you will most likely have to continue eating. Orcs are the only intelligent creatures in their world. Of course, it's a bit hindsight to say this now, but the Flower Kingdom in the book is a civilization similar to China. If the Dragon King is concentrating on cultivation and doesn't know how powerful it is, don't their senior leaders also know the pros and cons?

The subject matter is very interesting and the setting is also very interesting. In terms of setting, the main character is the Monkey Brother's race, the Mingming Stone Monkey, but it doesn't fall into the cliché. Looking forward to the protagonist's subsequent experiences in the world of mountains and seas and the real world.

A good book, imaginative and creative, and the plot is not bad, but the author has a dog as the main character. Isn't it time for the next totem to be Erlang Shen? Then there is Nezha. It would be interesting to combine the three most rebellious boys in heaven.

A very new setting. The protagonist is modeled after Sun Wukong, and Master Crane is modeled after Patriarch Bodhi. While imitating Sun Wukong, he also created innovative totems, comparing totems to technological productivity. Modern society uses technology to live, and the society in the novel uses totems to live. There are a lot of terminology explanations in the settings. The author spent a lot of brain cells on setting explanations, hahaha. It's a very good novel. It has more than 100,000 words in total. I look forward to the follow-up plot and setting.

I don't understand why the rating is a bit low. I've read about 80 chapters and it's very well written. It's much better than other Monkey Brothers novels in Tomato. I hope it will continue to be good. Instead of following the rules and following Brother Monkey's path, he has his own understanding of Brother Monkey's abilities, which truly brings out the natural talent of Lingming Stone Monkey instead of just saying it. Four stars. I may know why this book is rated the way it is. First, the common problem is combat effectiveness. The four natal abilities of the Lingming Stone Monkey are: understanding changes, knowing the time of the sky, knowing the location, and moving stars to change battles. Knowing the geographical advantage, change and moving stars to change battles are well written (but in fact it still suppresses the combat power), there seems to be no concrete expression in knowing the sky, and at the same time, the golden eyes that break the illusion are not as good as the fire eyes of Brother Monkey (it can only be seen based on the earth's energy at some point). Second, there is always an inexplicable sense of dissonance. The male protagonist has always been in control of what he does, but accidents happen every time.

The logic is self-consistent. It does not directly open the Long Aotian template based on the knowledge of the previous life, but rationally transforms it into the power of this life through rituals and knowledge. The logic is smooth, unlike some of the same type, which just tells a story and is directly recognized by the world. The author has a very profound cultural background, and he talks about metaphysical knowledge in detail 🤭

This imagination, this plot concept, this novel world view are very thoughtful. The image of the protagonist is likable, maybe not so vivid, but prominent enough, full of righteousness, and fascinating. Recently, I can't stand the mixed narrative styles like tenderness and war. I can accept one kind, but not two, one this and another. Maybe I can't stand the Romance of the Three Kingdoms now. The style of this book is, uh, slaying demons? Pioneering and innovative? Love that it's comprehensive rather than varied. The protagonist's enlightenment is simply excessive and somewhat natural. This is a great sage born in a stone womb. It is natural that he should have a sense of mystery and be loved by others. There is also the meaning of re-telling stories, recreating Journey to the West, Classic of Mountains and Seas, etc., Giving new meaning to old things, not falling into the clichés, and making a real case... It's amazing!

The plot is very good. It combines Journey to the West and Classic of Mountains and Seas with the novel very well. There is no poisonous point, and it is very refreshing. It is rich in content and has no emotional problems. It is just that the update is too slow. When will the author update it? @

It's not bad, but many settings are written directly at the end of the relevant story and are not integrated into the story. Also, every time the protagonist's plan is good, something unexpected happens, which makes it look a bit dull. But overall it's just fine chaff [laughter]

What a great book! Feeling like a combination of folklore, mythology, and ghost stories, "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" is very interesting and not scary at all. It is also unconventional and not as vulgar as traditional male videos.
