[Historical Romance + Political Intrigue + Empress + HE + Scheming Minister + Decisive and Ruthless]
Zongzheng Yunyao was once a notorious eldest princess.
Born into the declining Great Yin, she spent her childhood treading carefully through the imperial harem alongside her mother. That changed when her younger brother, Zongzheng Zhi Mo, was born and their mother was made a Noble Consort.
Zongzheng Yunyao began secretly gathering powerful ministers to support her brother and contending for the throne against the Empress and Crown Prince's faction.
Five years ago, when the Crown Prince staged a coup, Zongzheng Yunyao had no choice but to seek help from her uncle, a prince with military power. From then on, Zongzheng Zhi Mo ascended the throne, Shen Sinian declared himself regent and interfered in government, and Zongzheng Yunyao put herself in the middle of the game to oppose him.
During the second palace coup, her own younger brother, Zongzheng Zhi Mo, betrayed her. She was condemned for treason and executed.
Shen Sinian made Zongzheng Yunyao swallow a pill that changed her appearance and voice, turning her into the lowest-ranking servant in the prince's manor.
