You Want Me to Resign? Fine, Just Don't Beg Me When You Regret It

[Decisive and ruthless + witty and lighthearted + passionate and exhilarating]

Li Xi transmigrates to the ancient Dayuan Dynasty.

In a time of chaos, he repeatedly rescues the emperor.

Leading eight thousand Xuan Sheng troops, he fights across the north and south, east and west, saving the dynasty from collapse.

But just as the war dies down, the emperor begins to fear him.

First Li Xi is distanced and isolated, then demoted and transferred, until finally he is left to languish in a sinecure.

As someone who transmigrated, Li Xi understands exactly what is going on:

"He's trying to make me leave on my own.

Heh. I treat you like a brother, and you play these games with me."

He promptly resigns, leaves the Dayuan Dynasty, and retires to the great western desert.

Years later, Emperor Li Xi of the Anxi Dynasty personally leads his army on a campaign.

With the help of the Comeback System, he breaches Yumen Pass and sweeps across the Central Plains.

Before long, his army reaches the imperial capital of the Yuan Dynasty.

When the emperor learns that the man attacking the city is his old brother Li Xi, he is overjoyed.

From the bottom of his heart, he writes a letter of apology, condemning himself for his past betrayal and begging Li Xi, for the sake of their brotherhood, not to destroy the Dayuan Dynasty.

Li Xi has his beloved consort, Princess Loulan, take the letter and tear it to shreds on the spot.

"I never give the ungrateful a chance to regret their actions."

"Attack the city. Destroy Dayuan and unite the realm."
