Wen Zhihe met two people like these.

Senior He Zhou, who struck up a friendship with her so readily that he treated her to a meal on their very first meeting, was a beacon guiding her through the unfamiliar world of college. It seemed as though he needed to borrow her class notes, but in truth, his advice helped her get through her most bewildering first year.

Who would have thought that just as Wen Zhihe's feelings for him deepened, their time together would begin to run out?

“He Zhou, I like you.”

“I’m not asking you to return my feelings. I just want to give my first love a beginning and an end.”

Summoning all her courage, she said it on the summer solstice. That was the end of it all.

At the start of her graduate studies, Wen Zhihe met a rather clueless senior student.

It was hard to imagine that the academic star Sheng Yuan would spend a whole month by her side, inseparable, before daring to ask if he could have a chance to pursue her.

Wen Zhihe was baffled. So all that time you kept showing up in front of me, you weren't trying to win me over?

Once they got together, the two clueless rookies at love fumbled their way through dating. Sheng Yuan turned into an adorably childish cuddlebug, wanting to stick to Wen Zhihe every waking moment.

He had planned their future long ago, with Wen Zhihe included in every step. He was sure they would be together forever.
