An old woman lost both her parents as a child and was raised by her two older sisters. She longed for a mother and father’s love, often calling her sisters “Mom” and their husbands “Dad.” She had nimble hands, making beautiful clothes and knitting warm coats, and could turn simple ingredients into delicious meals. After she married, she had no family to stand up for her and was bullied by her in-laws.
