Silk Book Laozi

I guess I wrote it wrong in the introduction. The silk version of the De Jing comes first, and the Dao Jing comes after it, which is the original version. The current Dao Jing comes first, and the De Jing comes after it, which is the later revised version.

Suitable for repeated listening and reading, no vernacular, no interpretation, will not be disturbed by other people's understanding, you can understand it yourself, very good! Some words in the silk version of the Tao Te Ching are different from those in the previously circulated versions. For example, the silk version of "The Tao can be said, but it is not the eternal way" is compared with the circulated version of "The Tao can be taught, but it is not the eternal Tao". You can understand more things in the silk version, but the circulated version is a bit confusing. When combined with the context, it always feels that it does not make sense, is a bit contradictory, and is difficult to understand.

I should have read the silk version from the beginning, but now I am so familiar with the handed down version in my mind that now when I listen to the silk version, I always use the handed down version in my mind to compete with it, such as the handed down version of The Godfather, the silk version is the father of learning, and also to blunt its sharpness, resolve its differences, harmonize its light, and share its dust. This is the handed down version. The order of the silk version is to follow its light and its dust, to defeat its sharpness and resolve its differences. In addition, the poisonous insects and beasts at the back have similar meanings to the silk version but the characters are different. Now if you want to correct it, you have to slowly carve the silk version into your mind. The handed down version is still a bit catchy (maybe I have preconceived ideas) One chapter is missing, chickens and dogs hear each other, and people do not interact with each other until they grow old and die.

Personally, I think this version is an earlier version and is closer to the original version.

If the original text of Laozi's "De Dao Jing" is really discovered, people today may not be able to recognize or read it when looking at bamboo slips like that, because Laozi himself originally used big seal script (or Zhouwen), because the big seal script was ordered by King Xuan of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the historian Shi Zhou, to organize and publish it all over the world. Laozi's era was the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, not far from the Western Zhou Dynasty. Later generations of small seal scripts may have come out, but not many, let alone ancient official scripts!
