Where Bamboo Meets the Moon

Everyone knows that Zhu Xingman, the eldest daughter of the Zhu family, has never believed in gods, Buddhas, ghosts, or spirits. Yet after mysteriously disappearing for nearly a year, she returned to the public eye with a man as refreshing and serene as a spring breeze beneath a clear sky, and a red marriage cord dangling from her wrist. Whenever anyone asks about it, she just smiles and says it was fate from the very beginning. But only Fu Bailian knows that, beyond that so-called marriage cord, during all those days they spent together, sharing countless meals and washing up side by side, he had fallen for her first. “If the moon could stay forever full and bright, I’d brave ice and snow to warm you.” “The gods know I love you. I’m grateful you love me too, and I’ll never leave you.”
