Xicheng: Tears of Blood, Pearls of Sorrow

A Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation fanfic. I’ll try not to make anyone out of character (though I can’t guarantee it). Please don’t start drama.

Many supporting characters have original headcanons. No explicit scenes in this story. It follows the original story, with a few changes.

Throughout this story, Wei Wuxian takes Mo Xuanyu’s name and identity.

After two years in seclusion, Zewu-Jun is begged by his younger brother to come out because Wei Wuxian is unwell.

Once Jiang Cheng learns of Wei Wuxian’s injuries, he treats them and uses the favor to make Lan Wangji indebted to him. For various reasons, the favor ends up being owed to Lan Xichen instead.

During their long time together, the two suddenly discover that, beneath the sides they show to others, they are so deeply in tune with each other.

The Three Poisons Sage, Jiang Wanyin, is quick to threaten to dig someone’s heart out. Yet those sharp words of his sometimes manage to make Zewu-Jun see things clearly, and this time, Zewu-Jun really gets it.

“Clan Leader Jiang is right. We must always look ahead!”

Clan Leader Jiang rolls his eyes. He was talking about money, not looking ahead, but if that’s how you want to take it, so be it. From then on, their bond grows ever deeper...
