Gu Yu was the legitimate daughter of a marquis’s household, but at the age of three she was “accidentally” abducted.
At fourteen, she returned to the marquis’s residence, only to find that even her blood relatives preferred the family’s adopted daughter.
Her eldest brother, Gu Jingzhou: “Ah Yu, now that you’ve returned to the marquis’s residence and been entered into its registry, you must remember your place. You are the legitimate daughter of this house, and the family’s honor must come first in everything. Unlike you, Yanyan knows how to behave.”
Her second brother, Gu Jingchuan: “Gu Yu, you don’t act like a legitimate daughter of the marquis’s house at all. You’re ignorant and vulgar. If I took you outside, my classmates would point and laugh, and I’d lose face completely.”
Her third brother, Gu Jingzhi: “Gu Yu, if you dare hurt Yanyan even a little, I’ll kill you!”
Her birth parents showed her no tenderness at all, only using her and draining the last drop of blood from her before they would be satisfied.
Given another life, she won’t care what any of these people in the marquis’s household think. Blood relatives, the dignity of a legitimate daughter, the idea that the whole family rises or falls together: to hell with all of it!
The ending is too hasty, but overall it's good
The story has twists and turns, but the heroine was a little weak when she first returned home and seemed to be bullied at any time. It was strange that a company was all bad people, but it was not impossible at that time. All in all, I was a bit suffocated in the early stages. The means of resistance are not very refreshing, but fortunately the story has foreshadowing, I look forward to the next chapter
