In the early years of the Republic of China, Dazhu and Erzhu, led by their second uncle, fled famine from Henan and came to Zhongtiao, Shanxi to make a living in Catalpa Mugou. They built tofu mills and oil mills in uninhabited mountainous areas, reclaimed large areas of wasteland, brought their families, and took in the refugees who came to seek refuge one after another. After several years of struggle, a prosperous paradise on earth was built. During this period they fought many battles with the surrounding bandits. After the Japanese invaders occupied Zhongtiao Mountain, they destroyed their homes. They spontaneously organized an anti-Japanese team and fought an arduous battle with the Japanese invaders. Of the more than 500 people in the village, 399 people died, and the Anti-Japanese War was finally won. In order to commemorate these martyrs, they established a public ancestral hall in the village and enshrined these martyrs' tablets so that future generations can forever commemorate them.
