Like Flowing Water

Hutong of Happiness No. 52 (Flowing Like Water)

Gentle, clear-headed, bold in love and hate + devoted, principled husband

(Mutual devotion + one-on-one romance + both leads have no prior romantic history + period drama + childhood friends + everyday family life)

Three families live at No. 52, Hutong of Happiness, in the capital. Through changing times and the growth of their children, they live out stories filled with the bitter and the sweet… This is a period drama where every character is vividly drawn and has a story of their own, a tale rich in human experience. Of course, it also tells the story of the male and female leads, childhood friends who grew up together in that era and fell in love when they were young.

P.S. I haven’t lived through the era myself, so for many details about the wider circumstances and everyday life of the time, I asked lots of older men and women in the park. Thanks to them for their help! If anything seems implausible, just pretend you didn’t notice. After all, you’re all excellent, kind, beautiful, and clever enough to put up with me, even though I never learn. I look forward to seeing you! Love you all!
