Dynasties rise and fall, alliances form and break, until the world descends into chaos. Horses thunder across battlefields strewn with iron weapons, while lives scatter like blades of grass. Heroes roam the wilderness, scholars sit in the halls of power, nobles dwell deep within their palaces, and the common people toil in distant fields. The world drifts through its upheavals, yet all are part of it. (This is an alternate history.)
