I Went for a Gynecological Exam, Only to Find My Childhood Friend Was the Doctor

Rustle...

The blue curtain slowly slid open.

A young male doctor adjusted the disposable medical gloves in his hands. He looked up and gave me a glance from deep, slightly icy eyes. His voice clearly showed his displeasure. “Why haven't you taken off your pants yet?”

The female intern beside him gave a wry smile. “I've been trying to persuade him!”

I clutched the waistband of my jeans, licked my dry lips, and timidly asked, “Could... could I have a female doctor instead?”

“No!” he said flatly, his tone resolute. “It's International Women's Day today, so all the female doctors in the department are off. Hurry up. There are plenty of patients waiting after you.”

How had I not thought of that?

My eyes began to redden. In a small voice, I asked, “Then, Doctor, could you turn around?”
