As a poet born in the early 1960s, Ardinfu Yiren's personality gave him a strong cultural root search (having both agricultural civilization and nomadic culture) and the impulse to write national narratives in his poetry writing. As a member of the Salar ethnic group, Ardinfu Yiren can easily be regarded as a minority poet, because he lives in Qinghai and is more easily labeled as a "western poet" or "border poet".
