[Nanyang sorcery, folk horror, feng shui and talismans, the Yin-Yang road...]
A young man named Lu Wenxi faces a sudden crisis at home and urgently needs hundreds of thousands of yuan to save a gravely ill family member. Desperate, he happens upon a supposed shortcut to quick riches. Driven by his need to save his loved one, Lu Wenxi carelessly steps into a trap of dark sorcery, full of temptation and danger.
But the people who set the trap have no idea that Lu Wenxi, though seemingly ordinary, is far from it. He is the 101st-generation successor to the ancient and mysterious Lu Clan Shigong Cult. For various reasons, his skills are still unpracticed, making him only a “half-baked” heir. Yet the blood in his veins and the secret arts he has been exposed to since childhood give him extraordinary abilities to fight evil and protect what is right...
The Yin Road opens, peace vanishes from the mortal realm, and lonely ghosts and wild spirits roam among the living...
