Synopsis
When he wakes up, underachiever Ye Zixuan has transmigrated to Great Xia, where he has become the third prince, and the most powerless and poorly connected prince of them all. To stay alive, Ye Zixuan volunteers to go to the frontier and fight the enemy. After winning a great victory, he draws the Crown Prince's jealousy over his talents and is framed and thrown into prison. Later, when a massive Xiongnu army threatens the borders and no one at court dares to fight, Ye Zixuan is reinstated. During the war against the Xiongnu, the King of Great Xia dies under mysterious circumstances, and the Crown Prince smoothly succeeds him. Ye Zixuan lives up to the trust placed in him, drives back the Xiongnu army, and leads his cavalry more than two thousand li into the heart of Xiongnu territory.
With the frontier secure, the new King of Great Xia summons Ye Zixuan back to the capital. There is only one possible fate awaiting him there, and only two paths before him…
