Jiang Ning transmigrated into a book along with her best friend.
In the story, Jiang Jinshu was a female general who helped her husband win fame through a great victory. She saved a commoner woman who was a physician and promoted her to army doctor, only to be betrayed by both of them when they became lovers.
Jiang Ning was a noblewoman who poured her family's resources into helping her husband rise to prominence. Unable to have children, she adopted a pair of twins from her clan and raised them to be accomplished, never suspecting that it was all a plot.
Then the truth came to light.
Jiang Jinshu's husband said, “Jiang Jinshu, I married you because the Lu family had fallen into ruin. Grandmother pitied you, the only survivor of a family wiped out in battle, and thought an orphan like you would be easy to control. Now you've offended the Crown Prince and handed your military authority over to me. Go to the executioner's block in peace.”
Jiang Ning's husband said, “Jiang Ning, those children aren't from some distant branch of the clan. They're my illegitimate children. Now that the Jiang family has fallen, I'm taking over your father's post as chief minister. It's time you gave way to their mother.”
As Jiang Ning and Jiang Jinshu read the book, they cursed at it nonstop.
Then they woke up to find themselves transmigrated into a story about men favoring their concubines and neglecting their wives, as sisters-in-law.
After conferring, the two decided to bring their husbands' families down.
Jiang Jinshu drove every member of the Lu family out of the estate they had seized from her.
Jiang Ning exposed the children's parentage and took inventory of her private stores and dowry.
The two women carried two chests of account books and a divorce agreement to the drum used for lodging appeals.
They exposed their husbands' schemes, set a precedent for wives divorcing their husbands, and made those who favored concubines over wives infamous for all time.
Years later, Jiang Ning and Jiang Jinshu tossed embroidered balls in Health City to choose their husbands.
Two men of exalted status each caught one, and they spoke in unison: “I have no penchant for favoring concubines and neglecting my wife.”
He Yushan said to Jiang Jinshu, “I would give you everything I own.”
The new emperor, Gu Changfeng, said to Jiang Ning, “I offer you the realm as my betrothal gift.”
The two men swore, “We make this vow before Heaven above and the underworld below: if we betray the women we love, may we die and our souls perish.”
It's pretty good. I like watching it.
Very interesting and beautiful.
The writing is quite good, but there is no Cp. You wrote CP in front of me, so I was looking forward to it in vain.
