Xu Zhao transmigrates into the Great Yu Dynasty as the son of the General Who Guards the North. His entire family suffers the classic fate of being discarded once their usefulness is spent by the female emperor: they are stripped of their military authority and exiled to the perilous northern frontier, which is granted to them as a fief.
The day before entering the northern frontier, Xu Zhao awakens the Heroes System. The more he spends, the more recruitment tokens he receives for draws, and every recruitment comes with a bonus of troops, horses, money, and provisions.
With the System, Xu Zhao can summon famous generals from history: “Zhao Zilong, who charged through the enemy lines seven times”; “Lu Fengxian, whose square-heaven halberd is made for stabbing sworn fathers”; “the Marquis Champion”; “Huo Qubing…”
His troops include the Great Snow Dragon Cavalry, the Wei Warriors, and the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry.
After unifying the northern frontier, Xu Zhao commands a million troops. The court ministers panic, and the female emperor grows desperate.
The female emperor asks, “Why, Lord of the North, have you rebelled?”
