Yidu was originally from China. When he was traveling, he accidentally picked up a tattered purple book. He was recognized by the purple book as its owner, and his soul traveled to the Great Xia Dynasty on Ten Thousand Stars Island in the Chenwu Realm. He became the son of Yi Zhan, the war king of the Great Xia Dynasty. Because of the Daxia royal family, there was only one male in Yidu in Yidu's generation.
