Li Xiaojun, an ill-fated man, suffered heavy blows from lovelorn, fired, and hit by a car in 2024. Lying in the hospital bed, he was confused and helpless, and full of fear of life. When he came to the hospital rooftop to relax, he was accidentally pushed down by young nurse Yang Xiaoli. However, a miracle happened. They traveled back to 2017 and landed on a 100,000-ton cargo ship in the Persian Gulf.
The freighter encountered a storm and the crew members fled in all directions. Li Xiaojun and Yang Xiaoli depended on each other for life and death on the floating container, and began a thrilling journey of survival at sea. They faced water shortages and bravely opened containers to search for survival supplies during the storm. After a narrow escape, they ended up living on a beach in the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East. Yang Xiaoli is determined not to be a beggar, even though beggars here are said to be able to earn 2,000 yuan a day. Feeling the exotic customs and cultural differences, they decided to hike in the desert and start their journey back east.
Along the way, they passed through Pakistan and Nepal, arrived at the Everest base camp, and then headed to Lhasa, Tibet. Start riding in Lhasa, challenge no man's land, and encounter many dangers such as altitude sickness. In Qinghai, they admired the beautiful scenery of the jade-like salt lake, and struggled with the harsh environment in Hoh Xil, facing lack of water, food and the threat of wolves. Finally, they came to Xinjiang to feel the historical traces of the Production and Construction Corps, appreciate the beauty of Uyghur girls and the magnificence of the Tianshan Mountains.
But their adventure was not over. As descendants of red soldiers, they decided to go back on the Long March to spread their legendary stories and inspire young people around the world.
