No System, grounded in official history, with character development that follows a believable course.
(This isn't a novel framework. If you have an issue with that, please don't flame me, or at least go easy.)
Liu Xuan was buying cigarettes on his way home when a dump truck gave him an enthusiastic embrace and sent him to ancient times.
Liu Xuan searched his memories:
“Surname Liu, given name Bei, courtesy name Xuande, a descendant of Prince Jing of Zhongshan, from Lousang Village in Zhuo Commandery.”
“The era is the Great Han, fourth month of the sixth year of Guanghe. Emperor Ling is on the throne. This body is twenty-three years old.”
“Occupation: working for my sworn elder brother, County Magistrate Gongsun, managing the refugees and common folk of Zhuo County.”
Is this Liu Bei the same Xuande I know of?!
But this plot is wild!
The wildest history Liu Xuan had ever heard wasn't even this wild!
And he'd transmigrated into the body of a man named Liu Bei in an Eastern Han era. The setting seemed a lot like the Eastern Han in Chinese history, but was this the history of ancient times, or a parallel world's history?
As his memories merged, Liu Xuan had no choice but to accept that he had transmigrated. He would have to keep moving forward, step by step, in this “Great Han,” and begin a new life of his own.
