Kirin's Guardian: The Legend of Bai Qian

Deep in the land of Qingqiu, the nine-tailed fox princess Bai Qian was born on a night filled with mystery and wonder. Her arrival was accompanied by the divine beast Qilin and protected by the primordial treasure, the Chaos Pearl, foretelling her extraordinary destiny. Her father is the Fox Emperor, ruler of Qingqiu, and her mother is a noble princess of the phoenix clan. She has four older brothers, each one an outstanding member of their clan.

When High God Mo Yuan first sees Bai Qian, he is deeply captivated by the purity and beauty of this tiny life. Bai Qian lies in her soft swaddling clothes, her big eyes curiously taking in the world around her. It seems there are stars and seas in her gaze, enough to leave anyone entranced.

Just as High God Mo Yuan draws near Bai Qian, his companion divine weapon at his waist, a sacred sword named Tianqi, suddenly gives off a faint glow. The blade trembles slightly, as if trying to tell him something. Mo Yuan’s heart jolts. He knows the sacred weapon is telling him that this infant is the partner destined for him.

High God Zhe Yan watches Mo Yuan and Bai Qian, a knowing look in his eyes. He knows this is heaven’s will, the arrangement of fate. So he suggests that Mo Yuan and Bai Qian be betrothed, binding their destinies together even more closely.

High God Mo Yuan takes a sacred weapon from his robes. It is a life-saving treasure bestowed upon him by the Mother Goddess, named Fengming. Mo Yuan gives Fengming to the Fox Empress as a token of his betrothal to Bai Qian.
