Harry Potter: The Rose of Slytherin

What might happen if Lily forgave Snape and had a second child with James, then wanted Snape to become the child's godfather?

[Original female lead × Draco, a Harry Potter fanfic with lots of original details, though I'll do my best to follow the original plot and keep the story complete.] OOC is inevitable, so please steer clear if that's not for you. I wanted to write the story I wanted to read, though my writing may be average. If you'd like to read it, let's read it together. Thanks for your support. The author is lazy, so updates are slow.

“You have to swear!” Snape said shakily. He knew, of course, what that meant.

“Even if you have to risk your life every day, you will protect this child?” Dumbledore interrupted him to ask.

But Snape ignored him and turned to leave.

He returned to Spinner's End and looked at the child who looked so much like Lily. Tears streamed uncontrollably down his face. Relief and regret mingled in his heart. He wanted to do something for Lily, even if it cost him his life!

Dumbledore knew the child existed, but Snape understood that no one else could know she was Lily's child, too.

“You've changed your name, Diana. You've changed your name, child. From now on, your name is Diana Lily Snape.” Perhaps out of selfishness, perhaps to protect her, he made Diana his own child, a Miss Snape whose mother was unknown.
