The White Expanse: A white desert in another world, desolate and lifeless. No one can survive here except monsters.
The Black Mountains: Mountains that burst from the White Expanse like bamboo shoots. Their black rocks and black earth have stood since time immemorial, like a series of independent kingdoms.
Zhuo’er: A guide who leads the spirits of the White Expanse’s travelers onward. The travelers have already fallen asleep, leaving her as the world’s sole wanderer. Apart from them, she is the only one who can cross the White Expanse. It is both a privilege and a test.
Because no one knows what she will encounter on any given Black Mountain.
Will it be a thrilling adventure, a story that moves heaven and earth, or a plot to deceive the heavens?
