Chen Huaisheng is a newly arrived transmigrator in a novel. At first, he diligently works nine to five; later, he throws caution to the wind and does whatever he wants.
After faking his death and returning, he finds that the friends who started out alongside him have suddenly become powerful figures. The plot, meanwhile, has gone completely off the rails.
His junior apprentice thinks he's got the younger, crazy-loyal dog role; the original overpowered hero thinks he's in a powerful rivals-to-lovers story; his close friend thinks he's in a fated match with a deep and abiding love. Chen Huaisheng, who believes he's stayed out of it all, thinks his part is over and he can happily take everyone down with him. He never expected to be reborn and have his secret identity exposed straight away.

The interspersed mini-world arc is quite long, so don't read if that bothers you. There is no outline; the story goes wherever it goes.
This story includes my own headcanons and is set in an imaginary world. The love interest and protagonist have a child, but there is no pregnancy or childbirth. There are also secondary couples, though they have relatively little page time. Please don't read if that bothers you.
The author's writing style is very good [Admiration]
