My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie and I Were Childhood Friends
I didn’t see anyone writing this, so I decided to give it a go.
Male protagonist: Yang Hao.
He and Pinkie Pie were childhood friends, and he taught her to be “optimistic.”
Pinkie once asked why she had to learn to be optimistic.
Yang Hao: “Isn’t making other people happy a really cool thing to do?”
Pinkie got her cutie mark, and Yang Hao disappeared.
Pinkie was sad for a while, but then she remembered Yang Hao’s words: “A performer who makes other people happy wouldn’t let them see their other emotions.”
Somewhere in the forest
Trixie: “What’s your name?”
Me: “I... don’t remember.”
“How about Qiyuan?”
Canterlot
Princess Celestia: “Would you like to be my student?”
Trixie: “Qiyuan, go ahead.”
Yang Hao: “I’d love to.”
Twilight Sparkle: “I have a junior fellow student?!”
Ponyville
Rarity: “Darling, you know, Qiyuan is a little cold.”
Fluttershy: “Qiyuan doesn’t talk much.”
Rainbow Dash: “Qiyuan isn’t cool at all.”
Applejack: “Qiyuan doesn’t talk much, is pretty aloof, and doesn’t seem to like joking around. And...”
“Applejack!!!”
Applejack: “Hahaha...”
Pinkie: “Yang Hao would risk his life for others, talk a lot, know how to joke around, and stay optimistic!”
Yang Hao: “Pinkie, my name is Qiyuan...”
Note: I’m not a hardcore pony fan. I’ve just watched Seasons 1–8 a few times and only the finale of Season 9, so some character traits and dialogue might be different. If you spot anything, tag me and I’ll fix it.

I don't know why the author wants to stop updating it, it's obviously very good. I hope the author can come back and continue updating.
It's beautiful, but it's a pity it's discontinued.
