Liu Shisan, a food-delivery rider, was trying to avoid a mischievous child while making a delivery when a dump truck hit him and crushed him to pieces.
After his soul was taken to the underworld, he discovered that he still had sixty years left to live.
Fearing they would be held responsible, the examiners reported the matter up the chain, all the way to Cui Jue, chief of the Office of Yin Law.
After discussing the matter with Zhong Kui and Wei Zheng, Cui Jue had no choice but to compensate him with a position as an unofficial underworld employee and let him choose where to be reincarnated.
However, just as he was about to reincarnate, his case was unexpectedly selected for a surprise inspection by higher-ups.
As a result, Liu Shisan entered the wrong passage, was struck by a temporal rift, and had his soul split into nine pieces, each cast into a different world.
In those separate worlds, the fragments of Liu Shisan’s soul were each reborn. They endured hardships and gradually grew stronger.
Once each soul fragment had been made whole, a miraculous dream brought them together again.
How will they face this whole new situation? And can they find a path to advancement?
Join Liu Shisan’s nine incarnations on an adventure filled with wonders and challenges. Witness the struggles and battles of his different selves in different worlds, and experience the extraordinary twists and endless allure of fate.
I think this book is well written. It's a bit messy, but maybe it's due to the author's inexperience.
