Only on her deathbed did Yu Wanwan discover that she was nothing more than a kept woman!
The live-in son-in-law she had taken in was the heir to the Rongchang Marquis's estate, with a wife and child of his own.
Everyone in the marquis's household had used her to make money and drained her dry. They schemed to make her suffer two miscarriages and become bedridden with illness, yet looked down on her merchant family background and deemed her unworthy of becoming a concubine in their household.
Her son-in-law's child hated that her being alive tarnished the reputation of his parents' loving marriage, and stabbed her to death.
But no daughter of the Yu family would ever be a concubine!
She hated the people of the marquis's household for bullying, deceiving, and using her!
Reborn into a new life, she would make her son-in-law spit back everything he had taken from her, with interest. She would make sure the marquis's household never regained the glory it had enjoyed in her previous life!
But she could make them suffer a fate worse than death all by herself. So what was this cold-blooded, ruthless commander, with countless deaths to his name, doing?
Cui Zhiming gave a cold laugh. “What is the Rongchang Marquis's household, anyway? It doesn't even deserve to dirty your eyes, let alone be worth your lifting a finger.”
And so, the Rongchang Marquis's household was wiped out overnight.
Then he asked, “Now that your revenge is complete, can you marry me?”
Before Yu Wanwan could react, an eight-carriage bridal procession and ten miles of wedding gifts had already arrived at her door.
Yu Wanwan wondered: What should she do if she really wanted to throw him and his wedding gifts out?
But Cui Zhiming cornered her against the wall. Before everyone's eyes, the commander made no effort to hide the possessiveness in his gaze. “I'm better-looking than he is, and richer and more powerful. I'm the only one worthy of being your live-in son-in-law.”
The first part is quite good, the writing is neat and not laggy, but in Chapter 6, Commander Cui broke into the heroine's boudoir and acted so domineering that it made me suffer from embarrassment. Not to mention whether men and women in ancient times were not guarded against each other, after all, it was an imaginary setting. But even in a modern setting, a man suddenly ran into the heroine's room with confidence, which still made people feel that this man was elusive and powerful, but instead felt like "Why is this person like this?"
Very nice, highly recommended
Please update quickly. As time goes by, I'm afraid I'll forget this book.
The male and female protagonists have been bullied and are terribly weak.
Except for the character's name which needs to be sorted out, everything else is fine~
▽Super beautiful and worth recommending
It seemed fine from the front, but I don't understand why I recognized my ex-husband as soon as he showed up, even though his household registration has been cancelled. I was bullied all the time and didn't even notice
A very good concise and refreshing article, suitable for book fans like me, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good-looking, with a tight storyline.
