Zhang Cheng's writing is also wonderful. I feel like I have traveled back to ancient times and watched the lives of those ancient officials. Moreover, this book made me understand that ancient people were also so obsessed with and helpless about officialdom, just like we are about exams and work. I think this book not only allows us to understand history, but also allows us to think more about our current life.
