Cun Yi is the only wisp of consciousness left when a plane of existence fell into desolation, the sole spirit born in time that has endured since antiquity.
The plane's affection granted him immortality, but he continued to grow through the long ages. The desolate, lonely plane and everlasting time were his only companions. Beyond them, there was nothing but emptiness.
And so eternal life became a curse that clung to him like a bone-deep sickness. Love became poison, and loneliness stayed by his side forever.
He longed for eternal sleep, slumbering beneath the earth and exiling himself to the wilderness.
Until a pair of hands led him into another world. Then he accepted himself, and accepted that world.
