But a chance encounter while eating grilled cold noodles brings an innocent, kindhearted girl into his life.
Treating this “unexpected guest” with the kindness of doing good deeds, Fusheng gives her a place to stay.
But after they’ve spent some time together, he suddenly wonders if this is a test from heaven.
“Everyone says autumn is the season of parting, but that’s when we met,” the girl says with a smile, holding out her hand to Fusheng.
Fusheng has a thousand things he wants to say, but they catch in his throat. He wishes he could say it once more:
