The story tells the story of Su Yao, a declining aristocratic girl during the Republic of China, who fell in love with scholar Lin Yuxuan, but was opposed by her family. After experiencing hardships in the war, Lin Yuxuan passed away. Later, Su Yao met businessman Zhao Ming, and finally accepted her new relationship amidst the entanglement.
