CP: Qiao Mu x Su Chen. Main character is the bottom: seemingly rational but fiercely protective, paired with a seemingly flirtatious but actually devoted top. Slow burn.

1. This is not a traditional apocalypse novel. There are no zombies, only various monsters whose forms and mythological origins come from The Classic of Mountains and Seas.

2. High levels of chuunibyou ahead. Some abilities require the user to call out their names before using them. Imagine the way anime protagonists announce their special moves whenever they pull off a signature technique. (Mentioning this in advance in case some readers find it off-putting.)

3. The protagonist is an ordinary person. He grows along the way, but he isn’t perfect. (Of course, he does have a golden finger.)

4. There is a secondary CP, but not everyone is in a BL relationship!
