A Psychiatrist Uses Modern Medicine to Rule the Imperial Palace

[Short-tempered, unhinged emperor top x refined, gentle psychologist bottom; bottom-focused, both leads are each other’s first and only]

Xie Yunqing, a 21st-century psychotherapist, unexpectedly transmigrates into the body of an ancient-era top scholar. Forced into the infuriating power struggles of court and harem, all he wants is to use his psychology skills to stay alive.

To an old minister jealous of his talent, he says, “Do you often feel anxious and have trouble sleeping? I can treat insomnia.”

To the empress, who wants to compete with him for the emperor’s favor, he says, “Are you always feeling empty and bored, which is why you’re always thinking about men? Why not take up a hobby?”

To the southern border prince with OCD, who keeps wiping his hands, he says, “Your condition seems pretty serious… but luckily, it’s still treatable.”

All of them are easy enough to handle. The only one who gives Xie Yunqing a headache is the short-tempered emperor, who’s always chopping people’s heads off…

He hypnotizes him, and the emperor starts holding his hand and hugging him. Can’t he act normal?

When Xie Yunqing tries to understand the psychological roots of his emotions, the emperor says, “How dare you pry into my private thoughts? Are you in love with me?”

…

Fortunately, the short-tempered emperor gradually calms down and becomes a benevolent ruler praised by all.

The benevolent ruler says happily, “Beloved Minister Xie, you’ve made such a great contribution. I’ll make you my empress!”

…Huh? Isn’t this going in the wrong direction?
