[Complete] Qin Chu is a mute with exceptional medical skills.
His stepmother thinks he’s a burden and curses and beats him every day;
His older sister envies his beauty and is jealous of him, harming him at every turn;
Even his eldest brother sees him as a jinx and a deadweight because he can’t speak.
One day, he rescues a blind man, and from then on, they spend every day together and sleep side by side each night.
Sometimes he wonders: the man is so handsome, so are his eyes just as beautiful?
At last, one day, he heals the man’s eyes. As the bandages come off, he sees the man’s bright, starry eyes fixed on him, and hears him say:
“Silly boy, from now on, I’ll protect you.”
